About PDF to JPG Converter
Last updated: October 2026
A PDF is a container, not an image, which is why dragging one into an image editor, a slide, a marketplace listing or a social post usually does not work. Converting the pages to JPG gives you ordinary images that anything will accept. Each page becomes its own file, and you choose the resolution: 72 DPI for a screen thumbnail, 150 for general use, 300 when the result has to be printed or zoomed into. The quality slider controls the JPEG encoding on top of that, so you can keep a multi-page document manageable in size. Everything is rendered locally with pdf.js - the document is not uploaded, which matters because the PDFs people convert are typically statements, certificates, tickets and signed agreements. Pages come back individually so you can download just the one you needed, or all of them at once.
How It Works
pdf.js renders each page to a canvas at the DPI you choose, and the canvas is encoded to JPEG at your chosen quality. Both steps run in your browser - the document never leaves your device - and each page comes back as a separate file.
Use Cases
- •Getting a single page out of a PDF to drop into a slide or document
- •Turning a PDF certificate or ticket into an image for a form that rejects PDFs
- •Exporting pages for a marketplace listing or social post
- •Extracting pages from a scanned document for editing in an image tool
- •Making screen-resolution previews of a long document
