About Vocal Remover
OptiPix Vocal Remover extracts or removes vocals from stereo songs using phase cancellation directly in your browser. Vocals in most stereo mixes are centered (equal in both channels), so subtracting one channel from the other cancels the center-panned audio. Download the instrumental version or the isolated vocals. Preview the result with A/B comparison. Works best on studio-quality stereo recordings. Note: phase cancellation also affects centered instruments like bass — results vary by mix. No AI models needed, processing is instant.
How It Works
The tool decodes the audio to stereo channels using the Web Audio API, then subtracts the right channel from the left (or vice versa) to cancel center-panned audio. The result preserves off-center instruments while removing centered vocals.
